Seminole Science Charter School (SSCS) is a STEM focused Seminole County Tuition Free Public Charter School that is approved by Seminole County School Board. The school offers a K-8 experience and a full-time Gifted program. Students are encouraged to achieve their highest educational goals through hands-on and project-based learning approaches, along with a research-based curriculum. SSCS has 381 students, with a student to teacher ratio of 17 to 1. Based on state test scores, 82% of SSCS students are proficient in Math and 77% in Reading.

Arbor Ridge School

Arbor Ridge School serves K-8 students and aims to provide quality education through shared responsibility in a safe and supportive environment, so its students will be able to meet the challenges of a global society. Students are motivated to develop an enthusiasm for learning, respect one’s self and others, and to become a creative independent thinker and problem solver. The school has 759 students, with a student to teacher ratio of 13 to 1. Based on state test scores, 80% of students are proficient in Math and 77% in Reading.

Galileo School for Gifted Learning

At Galileo School for Gifted Learning, the core components are differentiation and acceleration, with focus on what motivates each student, what their passions and interests are, and what kinds of activities they prefer to do. Orlando Science Middle/High Charter School

Orlando Science Middle/High Charter School is a high performing STEM focused public charter school that offers students high quality education aligned with the Florida State Standards in an intellectually nurturing learning environment. The school has 566 students in grades 6 to 12, with a student to teacher ratio of 13 to 1. Based on state test scores, 84% of students are proficient in Math and 82% in Reading.

Winter Park High School

Winter Park High School is a magnet school for the International Baccalaureate program and delivers Advanced Placement courses. In 2018, the school has earned over $24 million in scholarships, with 104 students receiving an International Baccalaureate Diploma. WPHS has 3,142 students in grades 9 to 12, with a student to teacher ratio of 20 to 1. Based on state test scores, 61% of students are proficient in Math and 66% in Reading.

Timber Creek High School

Timber Creek High School is a community school centered around what students want and need to become successful. University of Central Florida

The University of Central Florida is one of the largest universities in the United States and the largest of all colleges in the state of Florida. With 65,000 students, the UCF campus has a diverse culture, comprised of various students from every corner of the nation and 148 countries. The institution offers 210 degree programs at the main campus, online, and through its 12 other regional locations. Some of its programs include civil engineering, film, integrated business, and photonic science.

The university has been recognized by the Carnegie Foundation for its excellence, bestowing the highest designations in both community engagement and very high research activity. The UCF is home to over 600 student clubs and organizations, including a meditation group, an advertising club, the Biomedical Engineering Society, and a thriving Greek life.

Admissions is fairly competitive at the University of Central Florida, with an acceptance rate of 50%. The graduation rate of this university is 70%, and popular majors include Psychology, Liberal Arts and Humanities, and Hospitality, and Tourism Management. UCF alumni go on to earn a starting salary of $35,100.

Stetson University

Stetson University is a private institution located between the two cities of Orlando and Daytona Beach. Set on a historic 159-acre campus, the institution has a rich history that dates back to the late nineteenth century. Though relatively small in size, with a total enrollment of approximately 4,300 students, Stetson University has built a stellar reputation for itself among regional schools in the South.

With four colleges: College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business, School of Law, and School of Music, Stetson University offers liberal arts and professional academic programs. Some of its most popular majors include Business, Management, Marketing, Psychology, Visual and Performing Arts, Social Sciences, and Biological and Biomedical Sciences.
